Our story
One point of contact for your home.
Tiptop Roofing & Building is based at Pottington Business Park, Upcott Avenue, Barnstaple. Led by Rocky, we serve homeowners across North Devon and Somerset with domestic roofing and general building work.
Our services range from leaks and slipped tiles to full pitched roof replacements. We also repair and replace flat roofing, carry out guttering, fascia and soffit work, clean gutters and provide chimney repairs, repointing and maintenance. You can explain connected building concerns in the same enquiry rather than treating every roof junction or extension as a separate conversation.
A repair enquiry should begin with what is happening at your home. Tell us which room is affected, when the symptoms appear and whether earlier work has been carried out. A free inspection and no-obligation quote give you a starting point for discussing the scope before making a decision.

The right work. A clear decision.
Start with the condition
A roof concern is not automatically a replacement job. Describe the symptoms and ask what the proposed work addresses. Coverings, junctions and drainage should be considered in relation to your own building, not an assumed lifespan or a generic price.
Keep the scope understandable
Discuss access, the work included and any further investigation before proceeding. Raise shared boundaries, conservation restrictions and previous alterations early. Roof work and scheduling depend on the property and safe access; no fixed arrival time is advertised.
Keep commitments clear
Every new roof we install has a 15-year guarantee. Inspections and quotes are free and no-obligation. Payment is flexible and can be discussed directly. These commitments apply as described, without suggesting that every repair carries the same guarantee as a new roof.
Confirmed commitments
Reassurance you can put a number to.
Free inspections
Quotes are free, with no obligation to proceed.
15-year guarantee
On every new roof we install, not on all repairs.
24/7 call-outs
For urgent leaks and storm damage; arrival is discussed on enquiry.
£1m public liability
Confirmed insurance cover for the business.
